Project Overview

Pinellas County is developing additional public recreation facilities adjacent to the existing soccer fields and associated parking lot within the Brooker Creek Preserve. Proposed amenities will include 1-1/2 miles of upland trail, an observation deck, a picnic shelter, additional ADA parking spaces in the existing parking lot, an interpretive kiosk, a bird viewing platform, a playground and benches. The Wilde Lands property was acquired with partial funding from Florida Communities Trust Fund Florida Forever Land acquisition grant.

Anticipated Project Timeline

Community Outreach

Pinellas County plans to hold a Project Information Meetings on May 23, 2024, from 6-7 p.m., at the Brooker Creek Preserve Education Center, 3940 Keystone Road in Tarpon Springs to review the proposed improvements and answer questions from the community.
