Pinellas County offers several publications to keep its employees, supervisors and retirees informed. Current issues are available below. To access archived publications from previous years, please contact Human Resources at (727) 464-3367, option 2, or email AskHR@pinellas.gov.

The Pen

The Pinellas Employees Newsletter (Pen) offers news and information for Pinellas County employees. Regular content includes features on new hires, service anniversaries, retirements, promotions, Ask HR, and important announcements. The Pen Extra section features employee and family news such as births, weddings, graduations, celebrations, kudos, memorials, and free classified ads.

Look in your email box for the latest issue. As of November 2024, the Pen is in an email format. You can read and scroll through the entire issue — either on your desktop, mobile device, or tablet. No need to open a browser, log in, etc. A link to a printable PDF version is provided for those who wish to print the newsletter.

Pen Submissions

Use the links below to submit items for the Pen newsletter. The deadline is the 10th of the month for the newsletter published at the end of the month.

The Retiree Pen Connection is for retired Pinellas County employees and covers topics such as benefits, resources, REPCO, health, and wellness. This newsletter is a version of the Pen just for retirees. This includes all Pen articles except those pertaining only to employees such as employee surveys and learning opportunities. In addition, it includes articles pertaining just to retirees, such as retiree benefits information.
