Evacuation order lifted; residents asked to avoid unnecessary travel

Pinellas County has lifted the mandatory evacuation order of zones A, B, C and mobile homes issued before Hurricane Milton. Additionally, bridges to the barrier islands have reopened, although many locations may not have power and/or water and many roads have not yet been cleared of debris or other hazards.

The County is still asking residents to avoid any unnecessary travel because there are numerous hazards on the roads and many intersections are without power. Crews can clear roads and restore utility services sooner if they can move about freely.

Access to Pinellas County is open. The Sunshine Skyway, Howard Frankland and Gandy bridges are open in both directions. The Courtney Campbell Causeway is open only in the eastbound direction. Check for the latest info at fl511.com.
