Ready to take your first steps toward completing a 5K? Join our Couch to 5K Run Club, a supportive, all levels program designed to help employees build endurance, confidence, and consistency. Come join us, make new friends, and take the first step toward achieving your running goals!
What is Couch to 5K?
Couch to 5K follows a 12-week progressive schedule that uses timed run/walk intervals. Whether you’re new to running or getting back into it, this program is for you!
- Each week, the run intervals get longer, and the walk intervals get shorter.
- From day 1, participants are grouped by pace, so everyone has at least one buddy as you trek around Crest Lake Park in Clearwater.
- At the end of the program, we invite you to participate in a 5K race in April. More details to come.
Important: To reach the goal of running a 5K (3.1 miles), it’s highly recommended that you attend the weekly class and follow the program at least twice per week on your own time for 12 weeks.
When & Where
- Every Tuesday from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. for 12 weeks from January 13 to March 31, 2026
- Crest Lake Park, 201 S. Glenwood Avenue, Clearwater

Run Club Teams Group: All registrants will be added to a Teams group for class coordination, encouragement, and to keep spirits high throughout the program.
