Last Chance to Weigh In On Transportation Projects for Our County
September 2024
Development of the next Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP), Advantage Pinellas, is underway. Forward Pinellas determines what transportation projects should receive state and federal funding in Pinellas County with the LRTP. Our neighborhoods, business districts and tourist destinations should be supported by a safe and reliable transportation network.
The plan will go to the Forward Pinellas Board for approval on October 9, 2024. This is your chance to review proposed projects and provide your feedback.
Examples of funded transportation priorities from previous LRTP’s include the new Gateway Expressway, the SunRunner, improvements to Gandy Blvd., the Pinellas Trail loop, improving travel along US 19, and more.

Visit the Advantage Pinellas Participation Challenge, an interactive website where you can trade your input for tickets to win prizes. You can review detailed information about proposed projects by location and choose what percentage of transportation funds should be spent towards roadway, transit, and bicycle-pedestrian projects.
