Vegetation Fuel Reduction 2025

April 9 – April 11

To lower the risk of wildfires, Pinellas County has hired a contract to reduce underbrush in six areas of the park. For the safety of our visitors, some portions of the trails will be temporarily closed for brief periods of time between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Signs will be posted restricting access into these work areas. The contractor will be operating equipment Monday through Friday until the work is completed.

For more detailed information on Vegetation Fuel Reduction, please visit our website at www.pinellas.gov/parks and click on the Managing Land in Pinellas-YouTube link.
