Clerk’s Office Celebrates Success of Annual Passport Day

April 2024

The Clerk’s Office is thrilled to announce the success of its Annual Passport Day event, held this year on Saturday, April 6. The special event, which focused exclusively on processing passport applications, saw our dedicated staff process over 350 passport applications across our branch locations.

This initiative was designed to assist citizens who find it challenging to submit their passport applications during regular business hours. The event operated on a first-come, first-served basis with regular passport fees.

The event was particularly geared towards:

  • All first-time passport applicants
  • Citizens with an expired passport (over 15 years from the issue date)
  • Minors needing passport renewals

“We are thrilled with the tremendous turnout and success of our Annual Passport Day event,” said Ken Burke, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller. “Our team worked tirelessly to process over 350 passport applications, helping our citizens navigate the passport application process with ease and convenience.”

For more information on required documents and the passport application process, please review the Passport Application Checklists available on our Passport Day event page. Passport applications can be completed in advance by visiting travel.state.gov
