Storm Closure Update

Philippe Park reopened to the public Saturday, Oct. 19, following hurricanes Milton and Helene. Visitors should expect tall grass and some debris and be cautious of possible wildlife interactions as animals return to previously flooded areas. Please avoid downed trees and areas marked as off-limits. Report any issues to on-site park rangers.

Philippe Park is 92 rich-in-history acres. This is the oldest park in Pinellas County and is located in Safety Harbor. The majestic shade trees and the Native American mound welcome visitors to the park.  The Temple Mound was built by Native Americans known as the Tocobaga. It is the largest remaining mound in the Tampa Bay region and is listed in the National Register of Historic Landmarks.
