Pinellas County is a leader in reducing landfill waste through its Waste-to-Energy Facility and recycling program. Our primary vision, as explained in the 2020 Solid Waste Master Plan, is to achieve zero waste to landfill by 2050.

Free Countywide Tire Disposal Event
Pinellas County is hosting a free tire collection event on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents can bring up to 12 tires (no rims and no tires over 36 inches) to one of three free and convenient drop-off locations.
