Required Personal Protective Equipment
Important Notice: Construction is currently taking place in several areas at the Solid Waste Disposal Complex. Please use caution and follow detour signs while on-site.
Safety is Pinellas County Solid Waste’s top priority
To reduce accidents and protect the public’s safety, Pinellas County Solid Waste requires customers to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while at the Solid Waste Disposal Complex.
PPE Kits for Purchase
Customers have the opportunity to purchase PPE (except for closed-toed shoes) from the Scalehouse for $20 per kit, which includes sales tax.
Required Personal Protective Equipment
At the Citizen Hand Unload area, customers are required to wear:
Closed-toed shoes (no sandals)
At the Waste-to-Energy (WTE) Facility, yard waste/tire processing areas, landfill and transfer area, customers are required to wear:
