Solid Waste Master Plan
The Solid Waste department developed a 30-year Solid Waste Master Plan with the vision of Zero Waste to Landfill by 2050. Along with an evaluation of the current solid waste management system, the plan includes improvements to recycling and diversion, operations, programs, facilities and technologies.
Five key tactics serve as a guide for decision-making:
- Minimize Generation
- Maximize Recycling
- Maximize Recovery
- Responsibly Manage What’s Left Over
- Collaborate With Partners
You can view the Master Plan’s supporting documents on the tabs to the left.
